School is here! And with a new school year comes a new yearbook! Entourage Yearbooks has some advice to get you ready for your next yearbook project!
In July, Entourage hosted its annual advisors’ conference. In a panel with our lovely account managers, they provided advice on ensuring you are on top of your yearbook project. We thought we would share some of their top tips!
1. Use the Notes in the Book Planning Ladder to Plan Your Book
Did you know that you can plan your whole book on Entourage’s software? This includes assigning a spread to staff members and adding notes. If you didn’t know this was possible, you select “Manage” at the top of your screen and choose “Manage Ladder.” From here, you can see the place to input all the information here:
This also helps you know if you have enough pages or if you need more pages. We are always available to help you adjust your page count!
2. Schedule a Webinar with your Account Manager
Webinars are great if you need a refresher, are new to creating a yearbook, or teaching students how to use the software. This can be a way for your students to learn something new. By scheduling a webinar with us, you can learn all our tips and tricks for creating your yearbook. This is a great way to start off your yearbook project. We can tailor it to exactly what you and your students want to know!
3. Pick a Theme, Create a Style Guide, and Let Your Creativity Flow
Themes can be a fun and easy way to unify your whole book! We have some predetermined themes in our system to keep your project painless. Our software gives you the option to create nearly any theme you can think of, though, as well.
Creating a style guide with colors, fonts, and templates can make your project go more smoothly later on. This gives you and your students some predetermined options. These options can decrease the time you spend on each spread. Once you have your style guide and/or theme, you might also want to explore the upgrades we offer for your cover! Some of these options, like dye-cuts and foil, might be what you are searching for to give your book extra pizzazz.
